About Me

My name is Mila, and all my life I have been surrounded by the beauty of nature and wildlife. I grew up in a small village right by the sea, surrounded by forests and fields. As a child, I was at the beach within minutes, a place that still shapes me today. My entire family lived in this village. Together, we shared our home with dogs, cats, and for a while, even a rabbit. The dogs accompanied me on walks through the fields to the beach, while my cats always independently opened the door to my room to keep me company.

In 2020, I moved to Rostock for my studies at the Design Academy. So the sea is still my home. My love for the water started early. Inspired by stories like Pirates of the Caribbean, I dreamed as a child of being a pirate, sailing the sea, and feeling free. But not only the sea, but also the forests hold a special place in my heart. For me, they are like another world: calm, green, and full of colorful plants to discover.

As I am chronically ill, spending time in nature and with animals, and simply switching off, helps me. I want to reflect this deep connection in my art. I enjoy experimenting with various media, be it colored pencil, watercolor, acrylic, or digitally on the iPad in Procreate.
Besides my original art, I am delighted that I can now also capture memories of your pets as commissions.
